Opposing special interest groups join hands
(2007-10-29)
MILWAUKEE, WI
(wuwm) -
A unique blend of special interest groups has formed in Wisconsin, groups usually at odds. Two members are the Wisconsin Realtors Association and WEAC, the state teachers' union. Their Wisconsin Way' intiative is designed to lower property taxes while maintaining good local services, including schools. Realtors spokesman, Michael Theo, told WUWM's Marge Pitrof that step one is holding public hearings to learn what residents think. The 5th hearing will be Tuesday night in Green Bay.
