Forum seeks solutions to poverty in Milwaukee MILWAUKEE, WI (wuwm) - More than one-quarter of Milwaukee's residents live below the federal poverty line, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. That statistic has prompted several groups to host a daylong forum today to design steps to alleviate the problem. One host is the anti-poverty agency, the Social Development Commission. Board Chair, Warner Jackson, told WUWM's Marge Pitrof that poverty is a multi-faceted issue.
