Wisconsin Artists Biennial Sponsored by the Wisconsin Visual Artists
On View: January 17–March 9, 2014 Reception: Friday, January 17 | 5:00–8:00
MOWA is pleased to welcome the Wisconsin Artists Biennial. The Wisconsin Visual Artists (WVA), the oldest artist organization in the state, organizes and sponsors the Wisconsin Artists Biennial. Originally founded in 1900, the WVA has a long and respected history that began in Louis Mayer’s studio. The Biennial is a competitive exhibition open to artists statewide with a single judge who selects work for the show. This year, the juror is Molly Zuckerman-Hartung, a painter who has exhibited in Chicago, New York, and Italy. She is represented by Corbett vs. Dempsey Gallery in Chicago and is one of four directors at Julius Caesar Gallery of Chicago.
