Christian Ziegler, a tropical biologist turned photojournalist, has worked extensively in tropical forests on five continents. He is a contributing photographer to National Geographic, and his work is often commissioned by other publications such as Smithsonian and GEO. Ziegler has won many international honors including BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year and most recently first prize in the World Press photo contest.
Christian Ziegler's photographs share the extraordinary beauty and scientific fascination of tropical ecosystems with the general public, thereby raising awareness for their conservation.
