Documentary Filmmaker Giving Away 10,000 DVDs CHATTANOOGA, TN (WUTC) - John Kaplan's documentary Not As I Pictured is an autobiographical film chronicling his recovery from cancer. Kaplan, a Pulitzer-Prize winning photojournalist, was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2008. He turned his lens on himself, and those images became the basis of Not As I Pictured. Now he's helping other people touched by cancer to cope with illness and recovery by giving away 10,000 DVDs of his film, along with a Cancer.net companion guide.
