The Signal Mountain Playhouse presents Rodgers and Hammerstein's Broadway and motion picture classic "The King and I" at the Playhouse's outdoor theater (amphitheater), opening July 5 and running July 11, 12, 18, 19, 24, 25, and 26. Curtain is at 8 p.m. but the box office opens at 6 p.m. for those who wish to buy tickets and place lawn chairs early. Tickets are available at the door only, cash or checks please, and run $5.00 for children 12 and under and $15.00 for all others. The show is based on a true story of an English schoolteacher who goes, back in the 1860's, to the court of the King of Siam to teach his children and help the country modernize.
