Prevention Touted As Key in AIDS Fight TAMPA (WUSF) - One key being looked at to prevent spread of the disease is developing "microbicides." This can be a gel, cream or suppository that can be used by women before having sex. It is being developed especially for cultures where condoms are looked down upon by many people.

Tampa is one of fifteen cities that are looking at treatment for prevention measures - as well as people already infected with AIDS.
