McCain Takes on Wall Street
TAMPA
(WUSF) -
John McCain took a populist approach during his 17-minute speech in Tampa. The first thing he said was how he would reform Washington and put an end to the "unbridled greed" that has caused a crisis on Wall Street.
He pledged reforms in the financial markets, saying he'd end "pork barrel politics" and pledged no new taxes. McCain also promised to spur the use of alternative energy, but first said the nation must open up new areas to offshore drilling. © Copyright 2009, WUSF
