Sonic ID: Port of Tampa
TAMPA
(WUSF) -
This week, we bring you the sounds inside Florida's largest port. The Port of Tampa is the entry point for almost all of the petroleum and gasoline supplied to central and west Florida.
Fuel trucks rumble down paved roads, over railroad tracks, past tank farms and through security gates to pick up a load.
The Port of Tampa covers more than 5,000 acres on the southwest side of downtown Tampa.
