Still Need those School Shots
(2008-08-19)
(WUSF) - State rules lay down the law: children can't get into class if they don't have all their shots. Pinellas schools spokeswoman Andrea Zahn says parents of the 105,000 students in that county's school system have been getting reminders since the spring. And they are particularly targeting families with children entering kindergarten and seventh grade.

Zahn says every year, an average of 4,000 students haven't gotten their shots by the first day of school. But she says it's not too late to visit any local county health department to get the required immunizations.
