Green & Gold Flood Fan Fest
TAMPA
(WUSF) -
Hundreds turned out Sunday in Tampa for the University of South Florida Bulls Fan Fest.
USF Coach Jim Leavitt addressed the crowd and then signed autographs. Many were dressed in green and gold T-shirts and stood in long lines waiting for an autograph, picture and a hand-shake from their favorite football player.
Kendall Allen was first in line to get Coach Leavitt's autograph. The nine-year-old has been watching the team since she was 8 months old when her parents, both USF graduates, brought her to her first game.
The Bulls media guide says that USF is the only university to increase its average attendance last year by more than 20,000.
