Reaction to DCF Chief's Resignation TAMPA (WUSF) - Bob Butterworth announced his resignation as Secretary of the Department of Children and Families. His last day is August 15th.

The Democrat and former Attorney General was appointed by Republican Governor Charlie Crist to revamp the troubled state agency.

One of the people Butterworth brought in to help was Nick Cox. The former prosecutor took over as director of the DCF Suncoast Region.
