Of Waste and Water
(2008-07-28)
(WUSF) - The Southwest Florida Management Water District board is set to vote on the half-million-dollar study. Part of the plan would would send 10 million gallons a day to the phosphate giant Mosaic, where it would be stored for use by TECO at its Polk County generating plants.

It would also take wastewater produced in an area ranging from Tampa to Lakeland, treat it to drinking water standards and then pump it underground.
