Bennett on Growth Management Laws
SARASOTA
(WUSF) -
Speaking at the USF Sarasota/Manatee campus Tuesday, Florida State Senator Mike Bennett says his intentions for Florida's new growth management law are good.
He says the new growth management law encourages developers to locate projects in areas where the population is denser than 1,000 people per square mile. If they build in those places, developers won't have to meet expensive state requirements to improve local roads. Bennett the law keeps the power over developers at the local level.
