TBARTA May Get $2 Million
(2008-04-30)
(WUSF) - It looks like a deal that would have taken money from a surcharge on rental cars is dead in the state Senate. That would have meant more than $14 million dollars for the Tamap Bay Regional Transportation Authority.

Still, the agency stands to get $2 million from a line item tucked into the general budget. That could mean the first real money allocated to the two-year-old agency. Last year, Gov. Crist vetoed a million-dollar appropriation that would have jump-started TBARTA.
