Students Fired Up Against Tobacco
(2007-11-08)
(WUSF) - The amendment was passed after lawmakers refused to allocate a major slice of the state's settlement with tobacco companies on anti-smoking program aimed at teens. It mandates that at least $57 million year be funneled to these programs.

Members of Students Working Against Tobacco, or SWAT, will convene next month to decide how they will use the money. SWAT members say anti-smoking commercials should begin airing statewide in the next several months.
