Elizabeth Ann Seton (EAS) program began in Springfield, Illinois in 1995. All funds raised for EAS are used for programs that work directly with single parenting mothers. These programs include one-on-one and group parenting classes, mentoring, education and career counseling, and a practical assistance program. Moms Go Back to School Luncheon will raise funds for the Elizabeth Ann Seton Program educational efforts. Letrice Ware, who was named a 2014 State Journal-Register Most Interesting Person, will speak at the luncheon about her own journey from being homeless to being a graduate student, published poet and author, and performer. Reservations must be made in advance. Call EAS office at 217-757-6025.
