Gas Prices Drop 20 Cents In Ala. Since Mid-July BIRMINGHAM, AL (APR - Alabama Public Radio ) - AAA-Alabama says the price for regular gas in Alabama has dropped more than 20 cents per gallon since it hit a record high in mid-July.

AAA reported that the average price for regular gas Friday across Alabama was just under $3.74 per gallon. That was down 1{ cents from the day before.

Diesel fuel was down more than 2 cents a gallon to $4.52.
