Ala. Secretary Of State Second Job Raises Questions
(APR - Alabama Public Radio ) - Republican Secretary of State Beth Chapman has a second job with a state-supported charitable organization in Shelby County, raising claims of double dipping.

State Democratic Party Chairman Joe Turnham calls it an example of double dipping because the charity, the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Shelby County, gets a state grant each year.

But Chapman says none of the $25,000 state grant goes toward her $50,000 salary with the group. She says the state money is used to pay the charity's other employee.
