Storm System Leaves Scattered Damage in Parts of Alabama
(APR - Alabama Public Radio ) - A massive storm system moving through Alabama early Tuesday left scattered storm damage in some parts of the state.

According to a preliminary storm report from the National Weather Service, several homes were damaged in the Eutaw community in Greene County.

Powerful winds are blamed for uprooting trees and damaging roofs in Clarke, Tuscaloosa, Greene and Talladega counties.

Street flooding is also a problem in some communities. Never drive your vehicle into areas where water covers the road.

Dozens of school systems across the state have announced delayed openings.

A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 9 a.m. for counties in south central, east and southeast Alabama.
