Prattville Begins Storm Cleanup PRATTVILLE (APR - Alabama Public Radio ) - Prattville begins a tornado cleanup today. A tornado struck the city yesterday, causing significant damages to many homes and businesses as store employees and customers scrambled into makeshift shelters.

Officials say two people were critically injured, 27 had minor injuries and no deaths were reported. Mayor Jim Byard said the 2:50 p.m. tornado destroyed 20 to 30 homes and damaged more than 170 others.
