Alabama's Exxon Mobil Dispute Goes Back to Court
In November, the Alabama Supreme Court threw out nearly all the $3.6 billion verdict that the state government won. But today, a judge will hear arguments on how much Exxon Mobil owes the state from what was left.
State attorneys say it's nearly $143 million in royalties and interest. Company attorneys put the figure about $20 million less than that.
Montgomery County Circuit Judge Tracy McCooey will hear the arguments and then decide.
