Governors Meet to Discuss Water
(2007-12-17)
(APR - Alabama Public Radio ) - It's back to the meeting table for the governors of Alabama, Florida and Georgia.

Alabama Governor Bob Riley gets together with his counterparts from Florida and Georgia today to discuss the states' shared water resources. They're trying to resolve a decades-long dispute over water.

Both Alabama and Florida say they need more water from Georgia because of the drought. But officials in Atlanta say they need to keep the water because the area's reservoirs are running low.

Today's meeting is in Tallahassee, Florida.
