AG King Asks for New Execution Date

The Alabama attorney general's office has asked the Alabama Supreme Court to set a new execution date for Tommy Arthur - a day after he was granted a 45-day stay of execution by Governor Bob Riley.The new date will be set at the court's discretion.
Arthur was scheduled for lethal injection Thursday for a 1982 contract murder in Muscle Shoals when the governor issued his order for a stay.
