Shoals Area Seeks Heritage Designation FLORENCE, AL (APR - Alabama Public Radio ) - Congressman Bud Cramer recently used Helen Keller's birthplace, Ivy Green, as a backdrop for what National Heritage Area funds could mean to the Shoals area. Cramer announced that he is re-introducing legislation to declare the Muscle Shoals region a National Heritage Area.
