Mobile Bay Food Bank Taking Ala. Relief Supplies
As recovery efforts turn into rebuilding efforts, stores in Mobile and Baldwin counties are diverting donations to local food banks. Monday, May 9 is the last day that Mobile and Baldwin County Wal-Mart stores will accept donations of relief supplies in stores. After Monday, all Bay area donated food items should be taken to the Bay Area Food Bank.
Trucks will be transporting donations from Bay area Wal-Mart stores beginning Tuesday May 10, to assist with disaster relief efforts in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham areas.
The Bay Area Food Bank says the most needed items are nonperishable foods, disposable diapers and cleaning supplies.
