21st century guitarist feels at home in the 16th century by David Srebnik Guitarist Sharon Isbin jokes that in a former life she must have lived during the Renaissance era. Music from the 16th century clearly awakens both her ears and eyes.

Sharon Isbin's latest CD includes four Renaissance Duets and thanks to modern recording technology, she plays both parts at the same time. Her new CD, "Journey to the New World" also includes a new arrangement of "Strings and Threads" by Mark O'Connor and features two performances with Singer Joan Baez.
