Car Talk

Every week on Car Talk®, Click and Clack present listeners with a curious little conundrum. Sometimes it has to do with the inner workings of cars. Sometimes it has to do with language, algebra, or something else you should have learned in the seventh grade (at least the second time through). But more often than not, the Puzzler has to do with more esoteric things like the bubonic plague, electric trolleys in Brooklyn, or the urgent need for a haircut.

NEW PUZZLER: A Bang-Up Job
Week of 12-14
Two drivers collide head-on. They are both wearing seatbelts but one driver walked away uninjured while the other driver is hospitalized. What was the reason for their differences in injuries?

Check back for the puzzler answer and a new puzzler on Monday, December 21 at the end of the day.

Week of 12-07
PREVIOUS PUZZLER: Big Rigs
A traveling salesman notices that one out of a pack of eighteen-wheelers traveling on the highway slows down when it pulls into the left lane to pass. Why?
