Dax Riggs was the lyricist and primary vocalist for the Louisiana metal band Acid Bath. Dax, along with Acid Bath bandmate Mike Sanchez, formed Agents of Oblivion after the demise of Acid Bath. He was known for his goth/grunge style of vocals. Dax was one of the pioneers of the "dual vocal" style, mixing angelic harmonies seamlessly with demonic growls. His most recent musical project, Deadboy & the Elephantmen, recorded and released a few independent demos CDs before being signed to Fat Possum Records in 2005. Currently the band consists of Dax on vocals and guitar, Alex Bergeron on bass, Adam Clement on drums and Sean Keating on keyboards. Deadboy & the Elephantmen released their first album under the Fat Possum label, entitled "We Are Night Sky", on Thursday, October 13, 2005, though a previous album If This Is Hell, Then I'm Lucky featuring Dax was released in 2002 under the Rotten Records label.
