Binghamton City Schools win recognition from USDA for nutrition, exercise BINGHAMTON, NY (wskg) - Later this morning, the Binghamton City School District, specifically six elementary schools, will receive a Gold Award for Excellence in Promoting Good Nutrition and Physical Fitness... it's part of the Healthier US School Challenge, a program of the US Department of Agriculture. The award will be presented by Dr. Janey Thornton, Deputy undersecretary of the Department of Agriculture.
