The Binghamton Community Orchestra welcomes multimedia artist, composer and electric violinist Ritsu Katsumata as their featured guest for the concert "Music for a Peaceful Planet," Saturday, November 18 at 8pm in Binghamton's West Middle School Auditorium.

Ritsu will perform portions of the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in addition to her own works with multimedia accompaniment. The premiere of Ithaca composer, Tom Schneller's new work "In Memory," will take place along with performances of Beethoven's "Consecration of the House Overture" and Ritsu Katsumata's compostion "Dies Irae: An Elegy for the Victims of War" as arranged for full orchestra by BCO music director Cayenna Ponchione.

Tickets for this event are; $10 for adults, $7 for students and senior citizens, children 12 and under free.
