Bundle up the family and come to Hanford Mills Museum to experience one of the coolest local traditions! In the 1800s, the Hanford family would store ice in its ice house for use by local residents to keep their food cold. Today we use our ice to make ice cream during our Independence Day Celebration on July 4th!
Events include helping to cut and transport the ice, sleigh rides, ice hockey with the SUNY Oneonta team, and much more.
