Their fieldwork took them from the vastness of the Arctic to the icy realm of the Antarctic, from the windswept Pribiloff Archipilago in the Bering Seato the Australian outback, steamy swamps of Louisiana grasslands of Wyoming, and from lofty peaks of the Patagonian Andes to majestic old-growth forest of Canada's Vancouver Island. For years, they followed wild Mustangs of the American West, marine mammals and penguins in the polar regions, and formidable animals of Alaska and the Yukon Territory in Canada.
