Online interview audio now available Rafael Grigorian speaks with WSKG's Bill Snyder Spectacular costumes, crackling choreography and a cast of nearly 50 skilled dancers will be featured in the Rafael Grigorian Ballet Theatre's performances this weekend of the Christmas classic "The Russian Nutcracker."

Performances are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Clemens Center in Elmira and 3 p.m. Sunday at The Forum in Binghamton.

Dancer and choreographer Rafael Grigorian will direct the show that features local advanced students Mikayla Lambert and Melissa Meng. Lambert will star in the Elmira performance; Meng will star in the Binghamton show.

"The Russian Nutcracker" tells the story of young Masha, her nutcracker prince and their journey into a land of fantasy and imagination on Christmas Eve.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children under 18, and can be purchased at the door or in advance through the Clemens Center box office at 734-8191 or The Forum at 778-1369
