Well-known local puppeteer Robert Rogers will present "Circus on a String" with a cast of colorful marionettes who perform tricks, dances and stunts to a lively, ever-changing classical music score. The music, The Comedians Suite by composer Dmitri Kabalefsky, is an orchestral piece that has special appeal for young people. The performance gives an example of how music can be visually interpreted and expressed. Rogers, who designs all of the puppets, can be seen manipulating the strings of the puppets during the program as he works in full view of the audience. He also will call upon members of the audience to help him work the puppets!

This festive holiday event also includes a tour of this 1870 historic Victorian home decorated for the holidays, a sing along and refreshments. On display in the mansion are over 100 dolls, teddy bears, and figurines dressed in holiday attire.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Make your reservations for yourself and your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and neighbors by calling Roberta Bills at 724-9164 by December 22. Last year's event sold out. In case of a major snowstorm, the event will be Sunday, December 28.
