The festival will present one-act plays of three established artists: Leonard Melfi, H. M Koutoukas and Jan Quakenbush – all of the Binghamton area; and will introduce two one-acts by new authors: Marty Murray and Joe Brofcak.
Fine artists, musicians and poets have been asked to interpret a piece in their respective medium. The plays and the artistic interpretations will be presented each of the six nights of the festival on November 2, 3, 4, 9, 10 and 11. All performances are at 8:00 PM.
The five directors for these plays are James Gormley, Gavin Keaty, Michele Tully, Dori May Ganisin, and Dave Merrill. Cast includes: Gabriel Briggs, Joe Burns, Dee Lovejoy-Cunturso, Dori May Ganisin, Jim Gormley, Meghan Karre, Dave Merrell, Rick Mertens, Marty Murray, Camille Muscatello, Mark Harding, Brianna Starmer, and Michele Tully.
The selections are both comedic and dramatic. Subject matters include April-December relationships, liberal vs. conservative personalities, extraterrestrial visitors and the death of a loved one. Settings are from New York City to outer space.
