An exciting way to begin the season, Asian Journey features songs and arrangements from Japan, Korea, and China, and will premiere a commissioned work by UK composer Barry Seaman called Bhajans. Bhajans is based on the OM symbol and incorporates Hindu and Sanskrit language. It's a reflective piece and uses lines from the holy Bhagavad Gita.

Special guests will be Hong Zhang, soprano, and Margaret Reitz, pianist. The 42- voice choir will perform with local and university instrumentalists.

Composer Barry Seaman will be in attendance as well, and will present a talk on his new work in the President's Room in the Anderson Center at 7 pm. Learn more about him and the evolution of Bhajans online at www.madrigalchoir.com.
