Blending new music technology and improvisation, we present guest performer Eric Ross (on theremin, keyboard and guitar), video artist Mary Ross, faculty composers and pianists Wendy Wan-Ki Lee and Paul Goldstaub, and faculty flutist Georgetta Maiolo in concert at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 11, 2007 in Casadesus Recital Hall on the Binghamton University campus. Eric Ross travels the world performing on the theremin, a musical instrument that combines technology with live performance. Our concert will include a collaborative piece with Mary Ross, who has created video art that complements Eric's music. Also on the program is Mario Davidovsky's "Synchonisms #6" for electronic sounds and piano, winner of the 1971 Pulitzer Prize in music. Pieces by Dr. Lee and Dr. Goldstaub will round out the program.
