Moms, dads and kids, the Roberson Museum and Science Center is presenting a wonderful musical for kids called "The Snowman in my Window." Playwright Tony Yajko, a member of Theatricks by Starlight's playwrights' workshop, has brought Christmas back the way it should be without commercial messages.
"The Snowman in My Window" is a charming story that will put the meaning of Christmas back in your child's heart. The memorable characters are a tough G.I. Joe and a fashionable Barbie who share a store window with Flurry the Snowman. Over the years G.I. Joe and Barbie have lost their spirit of Christmas for a more competitive shelf life. Supporting characters are the Pez brothers from Mexico who, along with Flurry, bring the true meaning back to Christmas. Santa, Happy and a chorus round out the cast as members sing memorable songs to help this play touch your heart.
Enjoyable for grandparents, parents and kids, this creative endeavor will bring the whole family together for some quality time. Directed by Bonnie DeForest, "The Snowman in my Window" runs Dec. 9, 16, 17 and 23 with two performances each date at 1pm and 3pm at The Roberson Museum & Science Center, at 30 Front St. in Binghamton. Tickets are $5. Seating is limited, so get your tickets in advance. For more information call 607-772-0660 ext. 201.
