Heart of the Arts Awards Celebration
Broome County Arts Council's second annual event recognizes those who make the arts happen



HEART OF THE ARTS AWARDS

The Broome County Arts Council presents the second annual "Heart of the Arts" awards October 2, honoring those who have made a significant contribution to the arts in Broome County. Broadway Theatre League's Albert Nocciolino and arts educator Marcella Swartz will receive Lifetime Achievement Awards, sponsored by Coughlin & Gerhart, L.L.P. and Sentry Alarms. Three Heart of the Arts Awards will be presented and the nominees are David Armstrong and Stuart Green of Magic City Music Hall, Sherry Eaton of Gorgeous Washington Street Association, JungleScience Gallery, Peter Klosky of Roberson Museum and Science Center, Ellen Kodadek of Southern Tier Celebrates, William Loso of Binghamton Community Orchestra, Conductor Jos¿-Luis Novo of the Binghamton Philharmonic and the Welsh Society of the Southern Tier.

Tickets are on sale at three locations for Broome County Arts Council's Heart of the Arts Awards Celebration October 2 at The Forum. Tickets are available at Broome County Arts Council, 31 Front Street and at Into Art, 206 State Street in Binghamton; and at the Endicott Performing Arts Center, 102 Washington Avenue, Endicott. Tickets cost $35 per person in cash or by check only. Proceeds from the Heart of the Arts Awards Celebration will benefit the United Cultural Fund grant program.
