Fires Burn Buildings In Grand Tower GRAND TOWER, IL (wsiu) - Two suspicious fires broke out early this morning in the community of grand tower.
The tower rock fire department first responded to a burning abandoned building just before 2:00AM.
Later around 5:30 AM, firefighters put out a blaze at an unoccupied home of front street.
Both structures were considered a total loss and the Illinois state fire marshal's office is investigating the cause of both fires.
