MADD Comes to Southern Illinois CARBONDALE, IL (wsiu) - Southern Illinois will soon have a Mothers Against Drunk Driving chapter. On Monday, a small group met to found the chapter in Herrin.
The group will focus on eradicating drunk driving, stopping underage drinking, and assisting victims of drunk drivers.
Linda Sargent is one of the organizers. She encourages people to come out and help the cause, and says there will be many activities in the upcoming months to garner attention to their cause.
