SIUC Interim Chancellor Delivers State Of The University Address CARBONDALE, IL (wsiu) - Southern Illinois University Carbondale interim chancellor Sam Goldman delivered the 2008 state of the university address today (Tue).
The 45-minute speech highlighted the schools successes as well as the challenges that face the university in the coming year.
Goldman outlined a number of plans aimed at increasing student enrollment and retention. He asked the university community to help him achieve the goal.
Goldman says he will ask the board of trustees to reduce out of state tuition for potential students in Missouri, Kentucky and Indiana as part of an effort to increase enrollment over the next couple of years.
