Global Warming Discusion at SIU-C CARBONDALE, IL (wsiu) - Some advocates for the environment are hosting a session on global warming this week in Carbondale, trying to raise awareness about what can be done to stop the damage before it gets worse.

SIU-C Geography and Environmental Resources professor Justin Schoof is one of the presenters at the event Tuesday. He says it's important that people make changes - and now.

Schoof says it's likely some things that are happening now are irreversible...but expects other changes could be slowed or even turned around if people take enough action quickly.

The event is at 5:30 Tuesday at the Student Health Center Auditorium.
