Cape Girardeau Man Shoots Woman, Then Self CAPE GIRARDEAU (wsiu) - One person is dead and another hospitalized with multiple wounds after an apparent shooting-suicide inside a Cape Girardeau County home.
The incident happened Monday afternoon. Authorities called to the home found the body of the suspected shooter and the woman believed to be his victim. Their identities have not been released.
Police believe the man shot the woman several times, then took his own life. The woman was being treated for several gunshot wounds, including one to the head. The extent of her injuries was not immediately known.
