FAFSA Form Shortened
The bill, sponsored by Illinois Congressman Rahm Emanuel, shortens the Free Application for Student Aid or FAFSA.
The old form is six pages long and Emanuel says the new form is just two pages in length.
Officials with the Department of Education say the new form was not available for college students who applied for aid this school year. The hope is to have the FAFSA-EZ form in place by January 1st.
