New ROE Named
(2009-08-03)
(wsiu) - The Jackson-Perry Regional Office of Education is under new leadership.

Assistant Regional Superintendent Donna Boros was appointed Friday to fill the position. Boros has worked for the Jackson-Perry Regional office for the past 14-years. She says her main concern is helping local school with their uncertain budget situations.

Boros also says she will be watching to see how the re-authorization of No Child Left Behind will impact schools in the district.

Bob Koehn was elected to the Regional Superintendent's Post in 2004. Koehn retired on Friday, and says the Office is in good hands.

Boros taught for 18 years in the De Soto Grade school system before moving to the Jackson-Perry Regional Office in 1995. She says she plans to run for the position in the next election.
