Hamburg Board Votes to Boycott Exxon Mobil
(2006-05-02)
(wned) - In Hamburg, it is the town board versus Exxon-Mobil.

Councilwoman Kathleen Hochul sponsored a resolution calling for a boycott of Exxon-Mobil gasoline.

"We passed a resolution by unanamous vote calling for a town-wide boycott of Exxon Mobil stations...until the price of gas at the pump return to $2 or less," Hochul told WNED.

Hochul says the Hamburg Town Board decided to 'send a message' that residents are angry over the high cost of gasoline.

Hochul is urging residents to continue to buy other products from Exxon Mobil stores.
