The Everson Museum will come alive Sunday, February 24, as the works of prize-winning composers of the 21st century are performed by Central New York musicians. Ranging from Pulitzer Prize winners to winners of the Society for New Music's Brian Israel prize, the composers' works represent some of the best new music created in the last couple of years. In addition, the concert will feature a tribute to the late Libba Cotten, Grammy-winning composer, Blues artist, and longtime Syracuse resident. Music by Zhou Long, Joseph Rubinstein, Ted Goldman, David Liptak, Mark Olivieri, Gregory Wanamaker will be heard, along with Ed Ruchalski's chamber work that includes a giant 'musical' puppet.
