(RIPR) - The Asa Messer Elementary School in Providence is experiencing a renaissance of sorts after a controversial decision to re-locate to the site of a former middle school. Parents hotly contested the move, calling the building unsuitable for young children. Rhode Island Public Radio's Morning Edition Host Elisabeth Harrison sat down with Principal Denise Missry, who says the community has rallied behind the new building, helping to re-design and paint it in time for the new school year.
